SOUTH AFRICAN VETERANS
ANNUAL MEETING HELD With a steady rise in membership, and finances in a satisfactory state, the South African War Veterans’ Association, which held its annual meeting last evening, has had a satisfactory year. Remits concerning pensions and preference for Government loans were adopted for consideration at a meeting of delegates to be held shortly in Wellington. The following officers were elected: Patron, Brigadier H. R. Potter; vicepatrons. Lieut.-Colonel T. H. Dawson, Lieut.-Colonel Hardie Neil, Messrs. C. G. Macindoe, and Claude Jewell; president, Major T. P. Malpin; vice-presidents, Lieut.-Colonel E. G. Fraser, Captain J. A. Algie; executive, Messrs. W. G. Camp, C. Johnson. C. J. Little, J. Hughes, A. Read, W. J. McMillan, W. E. Linkhorn, and Captain W. Attwell; treasurer Mr. A. G. Bertram; secretary, Mr. W. G. Marks; assistant secretary, Mr. A. E. Griffin. Captain T. P. Halpin and Lieut.-Colonel E. G. Fraser were appointed delegates to the annual conference to be held in Wellington.
