Notice is hereby given that a local Bill will be introduced into Parliament during the present Session thereof under the title of “The Auckland Electric-Power Board Amendment Act, 1929,“ amending “The Auckland Electric-Power Board Act. 1921-22.” The objects of the Bill are:— (a) To amend Sub-Section 2 of Section 5 of the Auckland Electric-Power Board Act, 1921-22, by adding thereto the following words:—“Provided that in the case of husband and wife the qualification as a ratepayer possessed by either of them shall be deemed to be possessed by each of them.” (b) To provide for the establishment of an Imprest Account to be operated on by the General Manager or Treasurer, which shall be available for the payment of emergency expenditure. The above Bill will be introduced into Parliament by or on behalf of The Auckland Eleqtric-Power Board. A copy of the said Bill has in accordance with the Standing Orders been deposited in the Magistrate's Court at Auckland, and is there open for public inspection.
