SEINE-NETTING
PRESERVING OUR FISH PLEA BY MR. JENKINS (THU SUN'S Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. A request that the Minister of Marine might take a firm stand in the question of seine-netting and the preservation of fish in the Hauraki Gulf was made in the House of Representatives this afternoon by Mr. H. R. Jenkins (Parnell). He paid a tribute to Mr. W. E. Parry (Auckland Central) for his untiring activities in this direction. He said that he hoped that steps would be taken by the Minister of Marine Cthe Hon. J. G. Cobbe) to put a stop to this, and to accede to the wishes of all Auckland members.
