DEAD YOUTH FOUND BY MOTHER SEQUEL TO QUARREL Press Association CARTERTON, . Today. A youth of 18, Roy Chapman, a sou of Mrs. S. Swan, was found shot at an early hour this morning in a stable about a hundred yards from the house. The youth had been to a dance at Kopuaranga, where he is alleged to have had a quarrel with a girl. It is reported that he shook hands with his friends, Intimating that they would not see him again. He then came home. At S a.m. his mother and brother both heard a shot. They went to investigate and found the lad lying dead in the stable with a shotgun alongside. He evidently had placed the gun in his mouth, as the charge had blown his face away. An inquest will be held.
