Nottingham, in its second innings against the South African cricketers, made 177 runs for four wickets, declared (Whysall 58). The South Africans in their second innings made 191 runs for six wickets (Christie 50, Morkel 64). Rain interrupted the play, and the match was drawn. J. P. Dummy, for Avhom radio calls were sent inviting him to join the South African team, has been located at Berne, and is returning to participate in the third test. Dummy was believed to be on holiday somewhere in England. England’s team in the third test at Leeds Avill bo chosen from the following—White (captain), Sutcliffe, Hendren, Hammond, Tate. Leyland, ‘Woolley, Larwood. Freeman, Bowley. Duckworth and Goddard. Hobbs did not consider himself fit, and asked to be allowed to stand doAvn.
