GLEN EDEN TOWN BOARD
A meeting of the Glen Eden Town Board was held last evening, the chairman, Mr. W. E. Martin, presiding. A petition ✓is handed in by a deputation and signed by* 108 ratepayers, protesting against the state of Clayburn and Brandon Roads. It was stated that people were compelled to wheel their furniture on barrows, as the roads were too bad for vehicles. The chairman said he was aware of the condition of the road. It was due to considerable delay on the part of the Public Works Department, and also the fact of the £2,000 loan being rejected. However, he was hoping for better conditions in the near future, and residents could rely on something being done.
