Softest Ivory Georgette and Chantilly Lace

Many Friends Attend at Otahuhu (Jereinony MARC ROFT—BENN ETT On Saturday afternoon, at the Baptist Church, Otahuhu, a pretty wedtiins was celebrated, when Marcia Hilda Grace, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Bennett, of 8 I-loko-nui Road, Otahuhu, was married to Eric Roland, the youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marcroft. The bride entered the church with lier father, and looked charming in a gown of ivory georgette, prettily trimmed wfth chantilly lace. A handsome veil of brussels net was arranged on a circlet of orange blossoms, and a shower bouquet of carnations and roses completed her toilette. Miss Sylvia Bennett, the bride's cousin, attended as maid, frocked in softest frilled pink georgette. A pretty tulle headdress was worn, and her bouquet was of pink carnations, mingled with fern. The Rev. T. IT. Eccersall conducted the marriage ceremony. Mr. E. H. Harris attended the bridegroom, and Mrs. Eccersall presided at the organ. After the ceremony, friends were entertained ox the home of the bride's parents, the rooms being prettily decorated with Iceland poppies and green foliage. Mrs. Bennett was wearing dark rose jersey velour, with fur-trimmed black coat. The bride’s going-away frock was of autumn-shaded jersey cloth, worn under a coat of zulu brown face cloth, with hat to tone. Among those present were:—Mrs. Barrott, of Australia; Mrs. Bennett, sen. (grandmothers of the bride); Mr. and Mrs. G. Bennett, Mr. and Mrs. O. Bennett, Mrs. Roberts. Mrs. Austin, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Jameson, Mr. and Mrs. Gillies, Mr. and Mrs. Dougherty, Mr. and Mrs. Freeman. Mesdames Wood. Arnold, McKelvie, Harriman, Wallace, Thorpe, Bachelor: Misses Wood, Boulding. Grice and Harriman. BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION ENJOYABLE CHILDREN'S PARTY Mi's. H. F. Davis was hostess at a very enjoyable little party given to celebrate the birthday of her daughter, little Miss Joy Marmont. The afternoon was spent in games and competitions, and paper hats and other novelties were distributed. The winners of the competitions were Misses Flo Edwards, Joyce Edwards, Elma Thorpe and Peggy Davies. After a party tea an impromptu concert was given by the young guests. The children present were:—Ellice Drinnan, Elma Thorpe, Olwyn Speed, Elsie Spooner, Tilly Bowering, Madge Denness Hazel Denness, Muriel Sehnieder, Flo Edwards, Lorna Radford, Joyce Edwards, Peggy Davies, Betty Davies, Molly Marmont, Betty Kearney, Edna Drinnan and Phyllis Marmont.
