TRENTHAM TRY-OUTS ROYAL ELM PLEASES Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. Fog obscured the work at Trentham this morning early, and a. number of gallops could not be timed. Roi de Val, with his trainer (S. Reid) up, and Historic sprinted, and Maori Boy worked solidly. Quantum covered four in 54ft, and Royal Game four in 521. Sudden Storm went four in 53, and Full Feather was going easily alongside Hurly Burly at the end of five in 1.8 4-5. Tanagra sprinted in the fog. Taboo and Fairy Herald ran live in 1.9 4-5, and Gold Cure sprinted well. Rory Mor sprinted. Mister Gamp beat Glengariff easily over seven in 1.391, and Kauri Park covered six in 1.27 ft. Bonrose sprinted well, and Bisox executed easy work. Balloon ran five inv 1.12 ft, and Amorist five in 1.11 well. Tcheka and Last Crust went seven in 1.42 ft, Brilliant Light and Merle four | in 53, and Ruanui an easy, half in 54ft. The latter looks well. Tresham covered six in 1.29 ft, and Metellus six easily in .1.29. Jumped Indifferently Master Doon jumped three hurdles' indifferently. Juggle was exercised at the barrier, and then sprinted with plenty of dash. Ivaiti ran a solid half-mile. Tourist beat Lady Rene - from a stand over four in 54. Kam.ehameha . and Red Fuchsia schooled well over three hurdles. Singleton ran away from . Mangaharci over five in 1.9, the last three in 40. Paddon (A. Tinker), on the sand, ran half a mile in 51. He is still sound, but his leg is doubtful. Modern covered four in 55, and Overhaul and Comical ran the last; half of six ill 52, both going very well. Royal Elm led Bqnayron and Alaric over five fences on the course proper. The pace was on all the way, and it' was good jumping. King’s Guard did strong work. Tinokoa ran four in 53, and Takutama the last three of four in 41. Maunga did pace work: he looks well. Beaumont and Otauru Lass went four in 54, and High Society did good pace work. Merry Mint, ran the last four of 5 in 54, and Locarno worked solidly. Pari beat Jmateagiri over four in 53, a good gallop. Glyn Dhu and Kick Qft paced on the sand. Both look in good order. Lady Gay and General Wai jumped three hurdles well. Loving Cup and Waltzer ran five in 1.8 3-5. Bright Land was scratched for the Trentham Hurdles at 11.45 a.m. today, and Arihana for all engagements at 9.15 a.m.
