MAN CAUGHT IN LAVA
NEW ZEALAND MISSIONER INJURED FACIFIC ISLAND ERUPTION SYDNEY, Friday. Advices from Ambrym Island state that as a result of the volcanic eruption on Friday last a missionary, Mr. Taylor, of New Zealand, was caught by the lava and is now in hospital. The flow of lava was a quarter of a mile wide. The molten stream flowed 25 miles to the sea at five different points. Two hundred natives who were in the danger zone escaped in a launc hto a neighbouring island.
