POST OFFICE WANTED
MEETING CALLED FOR WEDNESDAY WEST OF QUEEN STREET The proposal to establish a branch post office at the intersection of Victoria and Hobson Streets is to *be carried a step further. On Wednesday a meeting of “Went of Queen Street” business men and citizens to support the proposal will be held at 2." 5 p.m. at the Manchester Unity Buildings, at the Conner of Victoria and Hobson Streets. The convenors of the meeting are Messrs. Robert Laidlaw. general manager of the Farmers’ Trading Oompany; F. Hill, of Thompson and Hill; J. W. Tregaskis, manager of the Northern Boot Company; and W. Parkinson, of W. Parkinson and Son (Auek.), Ltd. It is expected that there will be a large attendance.
