Most Successful Annual Ball
MANY VISITORS ATTEND Visitors from all the surrounding districts attended the annual ball held by the Ngaruawahia Racing Club on Thursday evening. THE function was a particularly successful and enjoyable one, well over 300 enthusiastic dancers taking the floor until nearly 3 a.m. Swift’s Orchestra, from Te Kuiti, supplied excellent music. On arrival the guests were received by the hostesses, Airs. A. Sutherland, Airs. J. Cavanagli and Airs. D. AlcKeown. Airs. Sutherland was gowned in gold tinsel with georgette frills, Mrs. Cavanagh wore black georgette under a rose velvet wrap; and Airs. D. CHELTENHAM GUILD FUNDS To raise funds for the weekly Cheltenham Sewing Guild, an enjoyable afternoon was given by Airs. ClarkeWalker at her home in King’s Parade, Devonport, on Thursday.
