A PIONEER
Mrs. Lillian Fowler has the distinction of being the first woman to be elected to a Municipal Council in New South Wales. She was also one of the first Australian J.P.’s, and is said to be the only woman in the State who has been sworn as a special magistrate, and who has passed sentence on an offender.
