DANCE AND SOCIAL EVENING TO ASSIST JUNIORS
ENJOYABLE ITEMS A most enjoyable evening was spent on Tuesday in aid of the juniors of the Celtic Soccer Club, in Wright’s Hall, Newton. Miss P. Curran, assisted by Miss M. McAuley, acted as hostess of the evening. Miss Curran wore , ivory beaded georgette of ankle-length, with a peach satin bow on the hip. Miss McAuley was in embossed georgette, with silver relief. Dancing, and musical items contributed by Misses E. Berry and D. Davidson, passed a pleasant evening. Music was supplied by Reeve’s orchestra. Among those present were: Mrs. Curran, in green crepe de chine and silver. Mrs. Backhouse, who wore . a fawn crepe de chine and gold frock. Miss E. Berry, who was in blue georgette. Miss Ivy Bird, wearing ivory satin beaute and silver. Miss J. Barry, who wore apricot satin and tulle, with wrap to match. Miss C. Peterson, in black georgette, with tulle skirt. Mrs. Byrne, wearing a black georgette gown. Miss D. Olliver, in a black sequined gown. Miss E. Ritchie, who wore blue taffeta and silver lace. Miss E. Maefarlane, wearing ivory satin and silver lace. Miss N. Bentley, who wore orange crepe de chine. Mrs. A. Barry, in a green georgette Miss J. Harding, wearing ivory georgette Mrs. M. Hoban, in green georgette, with uneven hemline. Miss Jean Scandle, who wore a chartreuse green taffeta gown. Miss Pauline Scandle, wearing black chiffon velvet. Miss P. Swinton, in green taffeta, with uneven hemline of rose tulle. Miss D. Hawkes, in green crepe de chine, with uneven hemline. Miss E. Ashby, who wore saracen red embossed georgette. Miss C. Gaffney, in a turquoise blue tinsel and lace gown. Miss V. Gaffney, wearing black and flesh pink georgette. Miss R. Judd, in an apricot taffeta and lace gown. Miss IT. Bell, who wore ivory satin, with diamente relief. Miss M. Zainey, in turquoise taffeta. Miss B. Allan, wearing a blue taffeta frock. Miss D. Allan, who wore black ring velvet and lace. Miss B. Schich, in blue frilled tulle. Miss E. Murphy, wearing pink crepe de chine and gold lace. Miss Gordon, in a gold tissue gown. Miss P. Gordon, who was in black frilled tulle.
Miss P. Nottingham, who wore satin and frilled georgette of shrimp pink. Miss J. Murray, in ombre blue georgette. Miss S. Curran, in blue satin and lace. Miss M.
