PAPAKURA ODDFELLOWS
PRESENTATIONS TO MEMBER The high esteem In which Bro. T. Dunckley is held by the members of the Independent Order of Oddfellows of the Papakura District was very much in evidence at a large meeting of members in the Paragon Theatre, Papakura. Lodges of the order represented were: Lily of Franklin, Waiuku, Clevedorr, Star of Papakura and Elm Rebekah.. On behalf of the Waiuku Lodge, the Noble Grand presented Bro. Dunckley with an electric kettle, at the same time wishing him health, wealth and happiness. Bro. C. Nadin, on behalf of the Star of Papakura Lodge, presented Bro. Dunckley with a- beautiful vase as a token of respect and appreciation of the valuable assistance he had given the lodge. Bro. D. Pemberton, P.D.D.G.M., asked Bro. Dunckley to accept a small present in the form of a sandwich set from the members of the Elm Rebekah Lodge. Bro. Dunckley suitably replied. During the evening cards, competitions and dancing added to the enjoyment of those present..
