BREEDING THAT COUNTS \ MARE with which trainer J. Shaw met with a good measure of success a few years ago was Florrie Bingen, a daughter of Nelson Bingen, from a Harold Dillon mare. She was a genuine pacer, racing with admirable consistency. Florrie’s pedigree suggested that she would prove valuable as a brood mare, and she was mated with Worthy Bond, and the result of the union—a sturdy, compact filly is now to be seen at Epsom receiving its primary education. At present the risinq two-year-old favours the square gait, and shows a whole heap of promise at the business.
