FELL INTO GARAGE PIT
CHRISTCHURCH MAN’S DEATH Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. Mr. William James Bowles, aged 60, proprietor of a big drapery establishment at Christchurch, was inspecting a car in a motor garage last evening when he stepped back into the mechanic’s pit. He received severe injuries and did not regain consciousness, dying in hospital. He leaves a wife and two sons.
