CANADIAN LABOUR MINISTER HAS A REMEDY WILL SUBMIT HIS PLANS
(Australia?i and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) OTTAWA, Monday. When Mr. J. H. Thomas, Lord Privy Seal in the British Government, arrives in Canada in search of relief for the unemployment in the British Isles, concrete proposals will be submitted to him by Mr. Peter Heenan, Federal Minister of Labour. They will be advantageous to Britain and to Canada. Mr. Heenan says his plans not only require the co-operation of the employers and workers in Canada, but the co-operation of the British Government. He has not revealed what they are. However, he states that, by careful investigation, many avenues may be discovered in which British workmen could be absorbed in Canada without impairing the opportunities of Canadian artisans.
