ULIMAROA AT SYDNEY.—The Hud-dart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa reached Sydney from Wellington at 11.4-5 a.m. yesterday. She is to sail on Friday and is due at Auckland next Tuesday. KAITUNA SAILS.—A departure from Auckland last evening was the Union Company’s steamer Kaituna for Totara North and Greymouth to load timber for Sydney. TOFUA RETURNING —Advice received by the local office of the Union Company states that the Island passenger steamer Tofua is leaving Suva at noon tomorrow* for Auckland, where she is due next Monday.
GOLDEN WEST SAILING.—At midday on Friday Henderson and Macfarlane hope to dispatch the American steamer Golden West from Auckland for Wellington and Lyttelton to complete her discharge of Pacific Coast cargo. KAIKORAI REPORTS.—According to a radio message received by the local office of the Union Company, the collier Kaikorai is expected to arrive at Auckland tomorrow afternbon from Newcastle. She will berth at the King's Wharf to discharge her cargo. TAHITI FOR SYDNEY.—According to advice received by the local office of the Union Company, the R.M.S. Tahiti, wh. arrived at Wellington yesterday from San Francisco and way ports, now sails from Wellington tomorrow afternoon for Sydney instead of 10 o’clock this evening. AELYBRYN IN PORT.—Last evening the steamei* Aelybryn arrived at Auckland from Wellington, and berthed this morning at the King’s Wharf to take on board 500 tons of bunkers before proceeding this evening to Bowen, Queensland, for orders. Speeding, Limited, is the local agent. BARON ..P E rTT LAND DUE TOMORROW.—Due at Auckland tomorrow from Iquique, the steamer Baron Pentland will berth at the Queen’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo of nitrates under the agency of Henderson and Macfarlane. Later the vessel proceeds to Australia to complete discharge. FLOWERGATE AT WESTPORT.— Henderson and Macfarlane have been advised that the steamer Flowergate berthed at Westport last evening. The vessel has 1 been anchoring in Golden Bay for the ’ last two weeks owing to the shortage of J coal at the coal port. After bunkering, J the vessel proceeds to Ocean Island to load for New Zealand or Australia.
PORT AUCKLAND'S PASSENGERS. —The C. and D. Line steamer Pori Auckland leit Wellington this morning for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain, via Montevideo. The vessel took the following passengers:— Misses Rabone (2), D. E. Symes, T. Willoughby, Mesdames Rabone, Rimmington, Messrs. Rabone, Rimmington and K. D. Townsend. Dr. Ivlandl will accompany the Port Auckland as ship’s surgeon. HU RUNUPS ITINERARY.—The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Hurunui left Auckland early this afternoon for Wellington and New Plymouth to complete her discharge of London cargo. At the Taranaki port the vessel commences her loading and later fills up at Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. She is due back here on July 29, and is to sail finally two days later for New York, Boston, Halifax and London, via Panama. CUMBERLAND'S MOVEMENTS.— Early this afternoon the Federal steamer Cumberland left Auckland for Wellington, thence Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, Timaru and Bluff to complete her discharge of Liverpool cargo. On completion at the Bluff the vessel commences loading there and later fills up at Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. She is due back here on August 19, and is scheduled to sail two days later for London, ’Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via Panama. MAHENO FROM SYDNEY.—Yesterday afternoon the Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Maheno arrived at Auckland from Sydney and berthed at the Queen’s Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. The vessel left the New South Wales port last Friday, and experienced moderate south-east winds and head seas practically all the trip across the Tasman Sea, which delayed her about six hours. The following passengers arrived by the Maheno:—• Saloon.—Mr. L. Bolton, Miss M. Bell. Mr. H. Broom, Mrs. H. Bennett, Mrs. F. Beckford, Dr. A. S. Brewis, Mrs. A. S. Brewis, Mr. E. H. Booth, Mr. G. G. Beckford, Mr. V. V. Co’lins, Mr. T. Curran, Miss M. L. Dunwoodie, Mr. C. K. Dalgleish, Mrs. F. H. Ferguson. Mrs. M. Gumley, Mr. W. Heughan, Mr. C. H. Jones, Mr. J. C. Langley, Mrs. A. H. Long, Mrs. M. Meagher, Mr. P. C. McConachie, Mr. M. McLeod, Mrs. M. McLeod, Miss E. F. Pickinere, Mrs. G. Sayer, Mrs. A. Shankelton, Mr. W. W. Thorpe, Mrs. H. E. Townsend, Mr. H. E. Townsend, Mr. G. H. Tiller, Miss D. Tiller, Mr. C. Vautier, Miss G. M. Wheeler, and 52 third-class, including one Indian and 14 Chinese. Captain A. T. Toten is in command of the Maheno and has the following officers with him: Chief, Mr. D. M. McLeish; second, Mr. A. J. Herbert: third, Mr. J. Sadler; chief engineer, Mr. W. W. Houghton; second, Mr. W. A. Scott; third, Mr. N. Eari; fourth, Mr. H. Vatha: wireless operator, Mr. L. H. Jones; purser. Mr. D. A. Butler; assistant purser. Mr. H. D. Jeffryes; chief steward, Mr. H. Eldred. Included in the Maheno’s cargo are transhipments ex the following vessels: Kiwi tea, Goulburn, Largs Bay, Temerairs, Parrakoola, Somerset, Karoola, Koranui, Chitral, Canberra, Kowarra, Milora, Commissaire Rabel, Malabar, Maloja, Bomba la, Caingnanao. Runic, Tanda. Karnajt, Berrima, Balranaid, Nleuw Zeeland. The Maheno is scheduled to leave Auckland at 11 o'clock on Friday morning on her return trip to Sydney.
RUAPEHU DEPARTS.—A departure from Napier early this morning was the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruapehu for Southampton and London, via Panama. CANADIAN HIGHLANDER COMING. —Cable advice received states that the Canadian Steamship Line steamer Canadian Highlander left Montreal on Juno 29 for Auckland, Wellington. I ttelton, Dunedin and Timaru. She is t. here about August 10. THE BRITISH GLORY.—The tanker British Glory, bound from San Pedro to Wellington, was expected today, but so far has not reported by* wireless. It is probable tliat she has been delayed by the same heavy weather that delayed the Tahiti. SYDNEY STEAMERS.—The Maheno leaves Auckland at 11 a.m. on Friday for Sydney, and the Marama leaves Wellington at 3 p.m. the same day. The TJlimaroa sails from Sydney at noon on Fr* for Auckland. All the three vessels are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday morning. RUAHiNE LEAVES PANAMA.—According to a cable message received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company, the liner Ruahine. en route from London and Southampton, left Panama on June 30 for Wellington and Auckland. She is due at Wellington on July 19 and at Auckland a week later. KENT AT WELLINGTON.—The Federal steamer Kent arrived at Wellington this morning from Wanganui and leaves on Saturday for Napier. Gisborne and Auckland to fill up for Home. She is due here on July 13 and is scheduled to clear this port finally on July 16 for London and West Coast ports of England, via Panama.
KING GRUFFYDD REPORTS AGAIN. —A further radio message received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the King Line steamer King Gruflfydd is now expected to arrive at Auckland next Wednesday, June 10, from Antwerp. The vessel is meeting with bad weather. On arrival here the vessel will berth at the King’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her basic slag before proceeding to New Plymouth to complete.
