CONTROL BOARD MEETING
CHATHAM CUP COMPETITION A meeting of the Control Board of tlie Auckland Football Association was held last evening, Mr. A. Menzies presiding. , , _ A letter was received from the New Zealand Council regarding the Chatham Cup competition to tlie effect that the Auckland Association’s request for an extension of time could not be granted It was decided to inform tlie New Zealand Council that, unless the competition could be finalised within the dates set down. Auckland would have to consider cancelling the Chatham Cup games played. . . The New’ Zealand Association intimated that following a decision received from the L-nglish Footba.l Association Auckland had been adjudged the winner of the l.n D trophy for last season. , The question of uniformity in regard to cautioning players was brought forward again and a suggestion that two' members from each division committee the Referees’ Association and the Control Board should meet to discuss the matter was adopted. Tho Ponsonby Club_ wrote appealing against the senior division committee & decision in refusing to regrade Wilson from n" senior team. The appeal was P on the recommendation of tile judicial committee, two members of the Rangers Club were suspended for tvo Playing Saturdays, and a member of fho Bon Accord Club for one playmg Saturday. These suspensions were the result of incidents in the Rangers-Bon Accord match on Saturday.
