CAN THEY REPEAT IT? T AST August the Epsom trainer, J. S. Shaw, took Jewel Pointer, Western King, Native Prince and Great Change to Addington for the National f otting carnival, and with the exception of the sq uare-gaiter the team did remarkably well. Native Prince secured the Selwyn Handicap, Western King won the International Handicap, and was second to Loch Moigh in the Heathcote Handicap, while Jewel Poi nter finished fourth in the August Handicap, and was runner-up in the Speedway, National and Farewell Handicaps. The contingent collected in stakes £1,050. L. McMahon also made the trip with Gold Jacket, and aftc> failing to go away right the first day the Gold Bell gelding rolled home on the middle day in the King George Handicap, and opened his winning account for the new season with £6OO. Will some of these repeat the dose next month?
