Sydney financial commentators regard the success oi two loan issues on the Australian market in the past week as indicative o£ the large amount of money still available tor investment in gilt-edged stocks such as provide a steady income free from all risks. These, issues were the Melbourne Harbour Trust, £400,000, with interest at £5 12s 6d per cent., and the Sydney Water Board, £1,500.000 which returns £5 11s per cent, and which met with a ready response.
