JONES AND ESPINOSA TIE IN LAST ROUND A DRAMATIC FINISH (Australian and N.Z. Press Association / NEW YORK, Saturday. In tbe national open golf championship at the Winged Foot County Club s course, New York State, A 1 Espinosa and Bobby Jones, with scores of 291, tied for first place. The play-off will take place tomorrow. Shutte and Sarazen tied for third place with 296. Hagen and Kirkwood tied for 20th place with 309. Jones, at the 66th hole, was six points ahead of Espinosa, and it seemed certain that he would win the title, but he threw away the lead with 7 at the 15th hole and a 5 at the 16th hole of the final round. There was a dramatic finish. At the last green he had to sink a 12-foot putt to tie w’ith Espinosa.
