BALDWIN’S REWARD. —The “Daily Telegraph” hints that the King. will presently find means of recognising the services to the State of the exPrime Minister, Mr. Baldwin. Obv*ously no distinction for him could be included in the list published yesterday, which was prepared by Mr. Baldwin and submitted to His Majesty by Mr. MacDonald. —A. and N.Z.-P.A. A LABOUR SAVING.— According to political correspondents, the British Prime Minister, Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, does not intend to appoint a successor to Captain D. Hacking, who was Parliamentary Secretary to the Overseas Trade which has been absorbed by the Board of Trade This will save the Ministerial salary and the expenses of a secretary.—A. and N.Z.-P.A.
