DANCE FOR FRIENDLY SOCIETY’S QUEEN

In support of th© friendly societies’ queen, Miss Alma Tonkin, in connection with the raising of funds for the North Auckland Regimental Band, a most successful dance was held at the Hibernian Hall at Mangawhare. The Jazzaramba Dance Band supplied excellent dance music. Miss Jean Leach and Mr. 'VV. Bradman won the Monte Carlo waltz, while Miss L. Dalbeth and Mr. H. Walker were awarded the prize for the balloon dance. Mr. W. Taylor won a competition for a table cover, donated by Mr. H. H. Tonkin. Mr. G. Way w'as M.C.
