PRESENTATION TO MR. B. CLARK

On the occasion of his retirement from the department to take up his new* duties as organising secretary of the Auckland City Mission, Mr. B. Claxk was presented with a set of pie and fruit servers at the office of tho registrar of electors on Saturday. Mr. Carr, deputy-registrar, who made the presentation, referred to Mr. Clark’s long service with the department, and wished him success in hi* new sphere. In the form of a compliment to Mr. Clark, who has been engaged in mission work for about three years, the staff requested that a box bo left in the office to enable them to make small contributions to the funds of the mission.
