POPULAR MANAGER
STAFF OF GEORGE COURT HONOURS MR G. ONYON On Friday Mr. George Onyon, late manager of George Court and Sons, Newton, who has retired after 25 years’ service, was presented by the staff with a handsome grandfather clock. In making the presentation Mr. J. G. Foy referred to Mr. Onyon’s many excellent qualities, and while regretting his departure, assured him of the staff’s appreciation of the fair manner always displayed by him in his dealings with them and the kind words of encouragement which he often gave. Occasion also was taken to present Mrs. Onyons, who has made many friends on the staff, with a valuable silver dressing set. In returning thanks, Mr. Onyon referred to the cordial relationship that always existed between the staff and himself, and said that he would always look back with pleasant memories to the many years spent in working with them.
