SPORTS AT PAPATOETOE

PUBLIC WELL CATERED FOR Although not represented in any of tho senior grade competitions in the various codes of sport, the public of Papatoetoe is being well catered for as regards sport in this grade during the present season. The Rugby League set the ball rolling a fortnight ago, when the Otahuhu Y. Point Chevalier teams tried conclusions, and last Saturday both the Rugby League and Rugby Union teams from Otahuhu played thgjr matches at Papatoetoe. The former defeated Parnell and the latter went down to Marathon. Both codes drew large galleries. It is now' reported that the Auckland Hockey Association intends to stage a senior match on this ground at an early date. With all of the available grounds in use, 216 players can be accommodated on the Papatoetoe Recreation Ground.
