PIG HUNTER INJURED LEFT ARM AMPUTATED Press Association PALMERSTON N., Today. Logan Atkinson, a farmer, of Makomako, was injured while out pig-shoot-ing on the Pahiatua track yesterday with a party of four. A loaded gun was left hidden in the bush. While retrieving it later, Atkinson grasped the gun by the muzzle. The weapon discharged, shattering his left forearm, which was amputated at the Palmerston North Hospital.
