THE Southern Cross landed at Singapore at 12.45 p.m. 1 yesterday aiUer a fine run from Derby, whence the monoplane had departed at 7.40 the previous evening, Sydnev time.
Conditions were not always good, thick clouds and rain being encountered.
SINGAPORE, Friday. The monoplane Southern Cross, with Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith, Flight-Lieutenant C. T. P. Ulm (co-pilots), Mr. H. A. Litchfield (navigator), and Mr. T. H. McWilliams (wireless operator), landed safely at Singapore at 12.45 p.m. today, after a non-stop flight from Derby. The airmen had left Derby yesterday at 7.40 p.m., Sydney time, on the second stage of the flight to England.
