This tentative design shows the auckland Town Planning assocition idea of improving the waterfront on the old dick site to prvide a picturesquare gateway to the city for the fitting reception of overseas quests. In the centre is shown the proposed fountain, embillished by grass plots and contrets paths and adorned at each terminal point by a low embank ment with provision for statues. If the harbour Board allocates the land the citizens will pay for lay-out.
