During 1928 Dominion Manufacturers Used £15,000,000 »> 4r V 9 Worth of the Primary Products of the Dominion. What use they have made of this material may be seen when the Auckland Winter Show opens next Wednesday. There, exhibits of New Zealandmade goods will afford a much clearer indication of the tremendous progress made by Dominion manufacturers than could possibly be gained by reading statistical records or scanning the informative pages of the Year Book. It is indicative of the lesson to be learned fr-om the show that it is launched by the Agricultural and Pastoral Association and the Manufacturers’ Association as a joint effort. Chief among its attractions will be evidences of what the grower and the industrialist can do when working in unison. It is not enough for the buyer to visit the show and survey the results of the country’s industry with an appreciative eye. The future prosperity of the Dominion requires the assistance of the pocket also, but the buyer must not lost sight of the fact that what he is taking out of one pocket will surely find its way back to another through consequent increased prosperity.
