CLOTHING FOR REFUGEES
FREE CARRIAGE ON RAILWAY The Railway Department is carrying free of charge the consignment of < lothing which, is being forwarded to the West Coast earthquake victims. This information was conveyed to those responsible this morning. clothing, which will be distributed among the refugees, was collected by the Auckland branch of the Victoria Deague. It will be forwarded to Thorndon by train and then to Nelson by steamer.
FREE CARRIAGE OF GIFTS Press Association WELLINGTON, Friday. The Postmaster-General, Hon. J. B. Donald, announces that the Post Office will carry free of postage parcels containing gift articles of clothing intended for the relief of sufferers from the earthquake, provided the parcels are addressed to a relief organisation.
