Woolly fat lambs realised 23s Pd to -4s Sd; black-face lambs, 20s to 27s 7d; fat ewes, 30s 3d; wethers, 32s Id to 335; two-tooth black-face wethers, 295; store ewes, 22s 6d; culls. 10s 6d: two-tooth ewes, running with Romney rams, 34s .cl to 40s; six-tooth ewes, running with Southdown rams, 31s; four and five“7s d f° 28s; mixed aged ewes, 6 , d , : white-face wether lambs, 17s to ISs; black-face hoggets, 1.9 s 7d. The entry of cattle was light. The total payout of the Whangarei Co-op Dairy Co. €or the month of Mav 1,947 ls ld icompared with £6,911 J 4s od for the corresponding month of 1925. The payout a lb of butter-fat for May, 1929, was at the rate of ls 6d. and in May, 1928, Is 5d a lb. The total amount disbursed this season up to May 31, reached £186.191 12s, compared with £139,111 0* 2d for the same period of 1925. BAY OF ISLANDS DAIRYING The Bay of Islands Dairy Co-operative Company, Ltd., has just completed a very successful year's operations. The company's total output for the season was 554 tons of butter, compared with 47:'. tons for the corresponding period of year.
