LITTLE THEATRE SOCIETY

"HAY FEVER” SEASON That “Hay Fever,” Xoel Coward’s brilliant comedy, was a popular choice for the Little Theatre latest production, has been shown by the large audiences attending at the Concert Chamber each evening. “Hay Fever,” perhaps the best of all Coward’s plays, is a satire on modern youth, and it is written with such broad freedom that mirth is provoked from beginning to end. There is superficiality in the work, but it is in keeping with the admitted superficiality of the characters.

The cast for the play has been chosen with discrimination, and the actors were all able to treat their brilliant lines in the proper spirit. Miss Daphne Knight was excellent in a role requiring carefLil treatment to make it convincing. Miss Isabelle Lorigan. a promising young plaver, shows that she has mastered the subtle art of conveying an illusion of reality. Mr. Roberts Tole, polished alwavs in his work, gave an excellent studv of Simon Bliss. David Bliss vtas convincingly portrayed by Mr. A. J. C. Fisher. The remainder of the cast was equally successful in its work. “Hay Fever” will be presented finally this evening.
