Over 40,000 people attended the English Rugby League final at Wembley last month, the gate being £2,000 in excess of the takings at any previous cup final. A feature of Wigan’s victory over Dewsbury was the brilliant play of the Wigan three-quarter line, in which Lou Brown, of Auckland, and Kinnear, the former Scottish Rugby international, were outstanding. The picture shows Kinnear evading a tackle in a spectacular dash for the Dewsbury line.
