MISS LILA HOSKING IS GUEST OF HONOUR AT BIRTHDAY PARTY

To celebrate the birthday of Miss Lila Hoskins, an enjoyable party was given by Air. and Airs. P. Billings, Princes Street, Onehunga, at their home on Wednesday evening. To receive her guests, Mrs. Billings wore a gown of navy crepe de chine, finished with a dianiente buckle. Miss Hosking, the guest of honour, wore a frock of ivory lace, finished with a spray of pink flowers, over a slip of flesh pink chiffon. Among those present were: Misa Ivy Picknell, wearing cedar rose crepe de chine. Mies Dorothy Hosking, whose frock was of blue crepe de chine and georgette. Miss Eunice Tucker, who wore a frock of ivory georgette. Miss Sarah Commons, wearing an uneven length frock of pompadour pink georgette. Miss E. Commons, whose black crepe de chine gown was relieved with apple green. Miss Phyllis Elliot, in.a frock of duchess blue crepe de chine with skirt of pleated frills. Miss Jean Fletcher, who wore navy crepe de chine piped with cherry. Miss Jean Johnson, who was in a pretty flowered crepe de chine frock. Miss Grace Walker, whose jersey velour gown was of softest cedar rose.
