CLAIM AGAINST MOTORIST RESULT OF ACCIDENT After hearing lengthy evidence, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., found for plaintiff vlien Alfred Broadhead proceeded against Janies Mignot at th.e Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon. The action was the result of a motor accident which occurred at the corner of Franklin Road and Ponsonby Road on May 19. Judgment was for £37 7s 6d. Mr. Blakey appeared for plaintiff and Mr. Bone for defendant. It was said that Broadhead was crossing the road at the intersection when defendant's car turned in from Ponsonby Road. The magistrate upheld plaintiff’s suggestion of negligence, and. in addition to damages, plaintiff was granted costs and witnesses’ expenses.
