Innes and Co. have persistent buyers at 20s. New Zealands are selling freely on a firming market. Insurance shares are in demand. Australian Provincials having buyers
at 10s Bd. New Zealands are exceptionally firm with buyers at 48s, the last sale being at 48s 6d. Queenslands sold this morning at 63s 6d. South British are firm with buyers at 66s 6d. In the miscellaneous Australian Glass is receiving considerable attention. Milne and Choyce have many eager buyers. New Zealand Fertilisers remain steady. Union Oil are asked for at 41s 6d. no shares offering, while Wilsons Cements are quoted with buyers 41s 9d, without attracting sellers. The banking section is attracting many investors and numerous transactions are beihg recorded. National of New Zealand are selling at £7 3s. New South W r ales changed hands last evening at £sl. 7s 6d, leaving the market firm. New Zealands are selling at 61s 6d. while Unions of Australia remain steady. Dividends expected in the near future include: Mt Lyell—ls 3d a share (int.) June 24 A. J. Entrican and Co.—6 p.e. p.a., ord., and 6 p.c. p.a., pref June 27 British Tobacco—22 p.c. on ord. (int.)
