DISASTROUS FLOODS
INDIAN VILLAGES WASHED AWAY 15.000 FOODLESS FAMtLtSS (United Service) Reed. 9.25 a.m. DELHI, Wednesday. As an aftermath of the Assam floods, three tigers were washed down to the sea near Akyab creek. Torrential rains fell in Burma and several villages were washed away. Five hundred houses were destroyed and 100,000 acres are under water, while 15,000 families lost their food supplies. Nearly 10,000 cattle were drowned.
