CONTROL BOARD MEETING CHATHAM CUP COMPETITION A meeting of the control board of the Auckland Football Association was held last evening, Mr. A. Menzies presiding. Mr. Harrison addressed the meeting regarding the financing of a primary schools’ representative team to play in "Wellington. After considering several suggestions, it was decided to allow the proceeds of a weekly sale of tickets to go toward the cause. The South Auckland Association suggested that a night game be* arranged between its Brown Shield team and the Auckland representatives. It was decided that this suggestion could not be acted upon owing to the necessity of completing the Chatham Cup competition. The senior division committee forwarded its decision that in the event of any teams having equal championship points at the end of the season, goal averages would be taken into consideration. The board confirmed the decision. The meeting decided to apply to the New Zealand Association for an extension of time for the Chatham Cup competition, owing to the large number of entries and postponements due to wet weather. NO MATCH TONIGHT The Chatham Cup competition match, Northcote v. Thistle, which was to have been played tonight, has been postponed again, owing to the bad state of Blandford Park.
