BLOODSHED IN RUSSIA
ANGRY ECCLESIASTICS KILL WRITER SOVIET’S GRIM JUSTICE (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11 a.m. MOSCOW, Monday. In furtherance of the official antiGod movement, the Soviet sent the well-known writer, M. Hakimade, to Shachimardan, where a religious pilgrimage was in progress. He met his death at the hands of irate ecclesiastical and feudal lords, nine of whom were sentenced to death, seven imprisoned and 19 exiled.
