FOR OMAPERE CLAIMANTS.— Mr. L. W. Parore and Mr. Wi Moka were prominent in the Lake Omapere claim case in the Native Land Court, in which the lake was judged to be native property. Mr. Moka was one of the principal claimants. Mr. Parore, who stated the natives’ views, says that the Maoris would go to the Privy Council to defend their rights.
