In a professional boxing match this evening, Vic White, the Australian paper-weight champion, knocked out Cyril Hurne, of Wellington, in the ninth round. The bout was scheduled for 15 rounds. The weights were White 7st 81b, Hurne Sst_ Up to the knockout Hurne was ahead on points. White was content to let Hurne do the leading. and did not even attempt to smother. Hume's blows were ineffective.
