WAR AMID PEACE TALK
JAPAN MOBILISES HER INDUSTRIES GOVERNMENT EXPERIMENT (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9 a.m. TOKYO, Monday. Midst world-wide talk of the furtherance of peace, today a state of war existed at Kobe, Osaka and Kyoto, with the Government’s first experiment in the mobilisation of industry in hundreds of factories in these cities, producing the requirements of modern scientific warfare. After the conclusion of the experiment, the Director of Mobilisation broadcast a speech on the subject of general mobilisation.
