The request was acceded to. The chairman and engineer were appointed to attend the conference of the Electric-Powers Boards and Supply Authorities’ Association, to be held in 'Wellington during the month of July. A committee was set up to confer with the borough council in respect to new agreement for the supply of energy.

The monthly meeting of the hospital board was held on Friday. A cheque for £335 was received from Te Puke, being subscriptions received in that district some time ago. This carries with it the Government subsidy.
