ATTACKED WITH KNIVES AND STICKS REINFORCEMENTS CALLED (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) , APIA, Friday. Y*7 H !L E proceeding with the " arrest of a wanted man today, five miles from Apia, the Inspec* tor of Police and two constables were attacked by a considerable body of natives armed with knives and sticks. The attackers were held off with revolvers until police reinforcements arrived. After removing the obstructions placed across the road the police found that the natives had dispersed.
