PAPATOETOE CLUB Mrs. J. Daisley presided over a good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Papatoetoe Croquet Club on Saturday afternoon. A vote of sympathy was extended to Mesdames Jas. Wylie and A. HO’Loughlin in the bereavement suffered by them during the year. During the afternoon, the president presented Mrs. T. R. Smytheman. tn e retiring secretary, with a handsome copper fruitstand and silver-mounted cut-glass scent-bottle, in recognition of her valuable service during her five years of office.
