NEW LYNN GUN CLUB
SATURDAY’S SHOOT SUCCESSFUL GATHERING HELD In spite of the trying weather conditions, members of the New Lynn Gun Club held a very successful allday shoot on Saturday. The chief events were two £SO open handicap matches. There was a large attendance of shooters, some coming from as far afield as Taihape. There were 30 competitors in each of these events. Messrs. A. E. Macredie and H. E. Knight acted as liandicappers. and Mr. D. Stoupe officiated as referee. Following are the results: No. 1 Match—P. Jelavich (14yds) shot the possible, 21, and took first prize of £3O; M. Delich (12yds), F. Keene (12yds) and G. Peach (16yds), each shot 20, and divided £2O for second place. No. 2 Match —C. E. Hodge <l6ydsV shot the possible, 21, and took first money, £3O; A. M. Bartley (llvds), H. E. Knight (14yds), G. H. Brown (14yds) and TL H. Bartley (14yds), shot 19 each and divided £2O. No. 3 American Shoot (10 birds), drew 26 shooters, and resulted in J* McMullan (Taupo) and C. Seddon (Hamilton) shooting the possible, dividing £B. No. 4 Sweep (9 birds). —There were 22 entries in this match. A Nohoff (11yds), J. McMullan (15yds), H. K Knight (15yds), C. Seddon (17yds), A M. Bartley (12yds), and C. Hodga (17yds) all shot the possible ana divided £ 7 10s. No. 5 Shoot, first miss out (16 entries) —A. Nehoff and G. H. Brown divided on the 10th bird, and took £1 10s e:toh.
