FOOTWEAR FOR THE FAMILY
THERE ARE “PATRIATA” SHOES FOR EVERY POSSIBLE USE
How many people realise that here in Auckland there is a boot factory turning out every style of footwear for every member of the family? In the past, some people have thought that to buy certain kinds of footwear one must necessarily purchase imported goods. That is certainly not the case, however, as far as the large Auckland firm of G. A, Coles and Co., Ltd., is concerned. This firm has developed every branch of the footwear trade, and its famous “Patriata” brand can be seen on every class of boot or shoe needed by the average family. Its lines range from the heaviest to the lightest in men’s, ladies’, or children’s. For the ladies, for example, there are golf or walking shoes to the finest light satin or crepe de chine evening shoes, with a wonderful selection of fancy patent leathers, and so on for afternoon wear. For children and youths it makes everything from heavy school wear to the neatest styles for “Sunday best.’’ There are even shoes for children of before school age. Coles make a big range of boots and shoes for men of all occupations. In addition to the neatest hand-sewn for city wear, there are heavy boots* for mines and country work, and waterproofs and shooters. It can well be said, therefore, that Coles’s “Patriata” brands are manufactured in “the factory that caters lor I the family.”
