WORKMAN STRUCK BY CRANE

(From Our Own Correspondent) KAITAIA, Today. A workman. Dennis Branch, 25, emiloyed by the Drainage Department n a dredge working at Kaitaia, was tdmitted to hospital last evening as a result of receiving a severe blow beiind the left ear. Mr. Branch was working the Iredge’s crane in an attempt to lift a leavy tree trunk, submerged in the lid river bed. when he was struck with i part of the crane. He is progressing satisfactorily.
